And so the time has come; No this is a beginning instead of a Final Curtain. The “Associated Press” has reported that Allen Iverson will be in the starting line-up Monday night as the Philadelphia 76ers take ion another one of Iverson’s former teams the Denver Nuggets. Philadelphia has lost nine straight and are hoping that the injection of the veteran All-Star will help turn around the team’s fortunes. “The Answer” signed a deal for the rest of the season last week with his former team after a long and tumultuous stretch over the last few months.

Iverson told reporters that he feels very comfortable back with the team that he started his career with. The veteran said “I feel like I am home. Just seeing people I’m accustomed to seeing, seeing the reporters, seeing some of the fans when I go out to eat. Just the smell of Philadelphia when I go outside.”

Iverson was asked about his expectations on how he would perform Monday night. He responded “In your dreams, you always hope for the best. That’s what I’m doing. I love these people here. They know that. They love me back. Hopefully, it’ll just be a great experience. If I can’t get my scoring on like I want to, I just want to do other things on the basketball court that will help us win.”

Philadelphia head coach Eddie Jordan told reporters he would rely on the veteran on how long he could stay on the court in his first game back. The Sixers bench boss said “I told him for 14 years I heard how you hate coming out of the game. Now they’re telling me you’ve got to get him out if he’s tired. He’s going to tell me. The first time I’m coaching Allen Iverson, I am not taking him out until he tells me.”
