Cavaliers Hold Off Late Challenge By Bucks, Win 85-82

The Cleveland Cavaliers held off a fourth quarter challenge by the Milwaukee Bucks Friday night and won their fifth straight contest by a final sore of 85-82. Cleveland’s offense dried up in the fourth and the Bucks had opportunities to win the game but they failed to capitalize. LeBron James led all player as he scored 26 points in the Cleveland victory while forward Ersan Ilyasova and rookie guard Brandon Jennings each scored 18 points for Milwaukee.
Neither team shot particularly well in this game and both teams would have a quarter in the second half when they barely scored at all. Milwaukee would have the advantage at the end of the first quarter with the score 26-24. The two opponents played to a draw in the second quarter and the Bucks would led at the half 49-47.
Milwaukee came back out on the court in the third but they left their offense in the locker room. The Bucks would score exactly 1 point per minute and the Cavaliers would lead by 10 points heading into the fourth 71-61. In the final 12 minutes it would be Cleveland whom would be offensively challenged. Brandon Jennings threw up a trey with 4.5 seconds left which if he connected on would have given Milwaukee the lead but it missed its mark and the Cavaliers held on for the win.
LeBron James led all players as he recorded a double-double with 26 points, 10 boards, 8 assists and 3 blocks. Mo Williams scored 17 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals while Delonte West had a good night off the bench as he added 12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 1 steal.
Brandon Jennings scored 18 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals while Ersan Ilyasova also added 18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. Charlie Bell had a nice game off the bench with 16 points, 1 block and 1 rebound. Cleveland improves to 20-7 and will start a four game road trip Sunday in Dallas when they will take on the Mavericks while Milwaukee is now 11-13 and will host the Sacramento Kings Saturday.
