Sunday night the Cleveland Cavaliers lost the first game of a four game road trip to a short-handed Dallas Mavericks team by a final score of 102-95. Monday night they were playing in the US Airways Center in Phoenix to face a Suns team that had not lost in their home arena all season going into the game 10-0 at home. That streak came to an end on Monday night as the Cavaliers shot a blistering 52.6% (41-78) from the floor for the game and beat Phoenix 109-91.

LeBron James scored a game high 29 points while point guard Mo Williams added another 24 points in the victory. Steve Nash recorded a double-double with a team high 18 points for the Suns. Phoenix after getting off to an amazing start of 12-3 to kick off the campaign have gone 4-6 in their last 10 games.

The game would stay relatively close for 3 quarters before the Cavaliers would  run away with the game in the fourth. Both teams came out with guns blazing in the first and the Suns would end the quarter with a razor thin lead of 30-29. Cleveland kept their scoring on pace in the second but Phoenix could not keep up and the Cavaliers would reach the half on top 59-53.

Neither team was overly impressive in the third offensively however Cleveland was a tad better and added onto their lead heading into the fourth with the score 82-75. With 6:50 left to play Jared  Dudley laid the ball up and in for the Suns making it a six point game with the Cavaliers leading 92-86. That was when the team from Cleveland took their game to the next level. When the smoke cleared the Cavaliers had gone on a 15-0 run and with 1:44 left in the game the score was now 107-86. Phoenix barely had time left to catch their breath before the game had ended.

LeBron James scored 29 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals while Mo Williams added 24 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 block. Anderson Varejao came off the bench with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 assist while Delonte West appears to be starting to show the consistency he displayed last year as he had  his second consecutive good game with 12 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 block. J.J. Hickson had 10 points and 6 rebounds in the victory.

Steve Nash recorded a double-double with 18 points, 10 assists, 1 rebound and 1 block while Amare Stoudemire also had a double-double as he knocked down 14 points, 12 boards and 1 steal. Channing Frye scored 13 points while Grant Hill added 12 and Jared Dudley came off the bench with 11 points. Cleveland improves to 21-8 and head to Sacramento to take on the Kings while Phoenix now has a record of 18-10 and will host the Thunder on Wednesday.
