NBA Trade Water Cooler

Some trade rumors to talk about, courtesy of The Sporting News:

  • Possible Tracy McGrady destinations: the Knicks and Bulls both came up over the weekend. TNT’s David Aldridge described a T-Mac move as a “50-50″ proposition during Sunday’s All-Star Game.
  • The Washington Post reports the Heat have interest in Antawn Jamison.
  • Tyrus Thomas continues to be the subject of trade rumors with the Timberwolves surfacing as the latest possible destination, according to Yahoo. The same report also indicates possible noise about a three-team deal involving the Bulls that would send Kirk Hinrich to the Trail Blazers.
  • Adrian Wojnarowski also tweeted that teams inquiring about Chris Bosh during All-Star Weekend got the cold shoulder. It’s not happening, according to Bryan Colangelo.
  • The Washington Post reports the Wizards offered Andray Blatche to Charlotte for D.J. Augustin, but the “conversation didn’t go very far.”

Interesting to have McGrady go to the Bulls. Years ago a personality scientist claimed that McGrady had the same mindset as Michael Jordan. Hard to believe, but what if it came out in Chicago? Could Derrick Rose play along side T-Mac?
