Hey guys, and welcome to another edition of NBA Talk. We’ll be talking about some good stuff. Well, read on to check out the latest stuff around the NBA.
Draft
The draft was great. The first five picks were really obvious. The Golden State Warriors got the party started with drafting Baylor Bears’ power forward Ekpe Udoh. Some bloggers didn’t like the pick. I do. I think he will have a lot of success here. Although I love the Yahoo! Sports NBA blog, Ball Don’t Lie, I really didn’t like their recent posts dissing Udoh. Oh well. I was also shocked about the Gordon Hayward pick for the Jazz. The Pacers would have taken him easily if it weren’t for the Jazz. Good draft, though.
Free Agency Predictions
Here are my predictions for where the top free agents will go:
Amare – Nets
LeBron – Nets
Shaq – Nets
Allen Iverson – Nets
Wade – Heat
Joe Johnson – Heat
Bosh – Heat
Raymond Felton – Heat
Boozer – Knicks
Chris Paul – Knicks
Michael Redd – Knicks
Jordan Farmar – Knicks
Rudy Gay – Timberwolves
Al Harrington – Timberwolves
Troy Murphy – Timberwolves
John Salmons – Bulls
Kyle Korver – Bulls
David Lee – Bulls
Udonis Haslem – Bulls
But that’s not all. I still need to talk about it. According to the Toronto Raptors’ GM, Chris Bosh will most likely leave the team. Also, the New Jersey Nets released Keyon Dooling, which gives some more cap space to land LeBron and other players. Lakers’ Shannon Brown will most likely opt out of his contract and go elsewhere. The Clippers may sign Vinny Del Negro as head coach. The Heat, Nets, and Bulls are most likely to land Carlos Boozer, according to reports. I like him with the Knicks, though.
That about wraps things up for this edition of NBA Talk. Join us next week when we should start to see results as NBA Free Agents decide their destinations.
