Oh boy, “The Decision” brought a lot of attention. We all know what decision LeBron James made. Unless you have been living under a rock, Pat Riley made magic happen by bringing in Chris Bosh and LeBron James to team up with Dwyane Wade with the Miami Heat to start a South Beach Superteam. Nobody saw this coming. I mean, seriously, nobody.
James made the right decision. If he went back to Cleveland, people will say negative comments about him because he wanted the money. I mean, Cleveland didn’t do anything and didn’t make any acquisitions whatsoever to convince LeBron to stay. And if he went to the Heat, people will call him a betrayer and he will ruin his legacy. Either way, he would have been hated. It’s stupid.
And I don’t think he will be ruining his legacy. By saying that, then guys like Kevin Garnett, Kobe, Shaq, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Dwyane Wade, and several others who won a championship ruined their legacy. Or Magic Johnson. All of their teams were pretty much stacked when they won. Now so is Miami. By the time LeBron retires, he will finish in the Top 15 all-time. I wouldn’t be surprised if Wade finishes ahead of him.
I see three Finals’ wins in the next five years for the Heat. But since the aftermath of this, a lot of other acquisitions have been made; such as Al Jefferson to the Utah Jazz, Tyson Chandler to the Charlotte Bobcats, Raja Bell to the Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Morrow to the New Jersey Nets, Mike Miller and Zydrunas Ilgauskas to the Miami Heat, Udonis Haslem re-signing, several others.
This could just be the start of a very busy Summer of Movement in the NBA.
