Not an extremely exciting signing to report, but as the 2010-2011 inches closer, there are still a few more free agents stragglers that are looking for a new home.
After chasing Rudy Fernandez for a few weeks but refusing to give up a #1 pick in a trade, The “New York Daily News” is reporting that the New York Knicks will sign Roger Mason to a one-year $1.4 million contract.
Mason, a seven year veteran of the league, last played for the San Antonio Spurs, and had his best year with the team in 2008 while average 11.8 points per game.
Mason will have a chance to put up some valuable minutes at the wide open two guard position. He will compete against Wilson Chandler, newly acquired Kelenna Azubuike and rookie Andy Rautins (if he makes the team) for the role.
