Heat-Celtics First Quarter Tidbits

  • LeBron’s mid-range game is often overlooked.  Very rarely mentioned and applauded, and I wonder why.  He has a solid in-between game that’s only getting better.  Stops, pops, and elevates with explosion on each and every jumper.  That shot will need to continue to improve because it’s the shot that you have to take to win games when it comes crunch time.  It’s the only shot that’s available and you know the refs hold the whistle at the end of games so you cannot drive.
  • Rajon Rondo is clearly the Celtics best player, and it’s not even close.  I would say Glen Davis is the team’s second most talented player, on some nights.  Where would the team be without their two energy-rich players?  Out of contention?
  • The defensive intensity is similar to that of a Playoff game.  Atmosphere is absolutely electric.  Is this is a Finals game?
  • I love how Ray Allen has no conscious whatsoever when shooting a three.  It’s his job.  A shooter shoots, and a shooter has to continue to shoot even if a shooter’s off.
  • Chris Bosh can get by Kevin Garnett with such ease.  He has to be more aggressive and attack the older Garnett.
  • Who said the Heat would have trouble defensively?  LeBron-Wade-Bosh cover so much ground.  It’s the great equalizer.
  • Dwayne Wade is not in game shape.  Very sloppy with his moves.  It could take awhile for him to get back into the flow of things.
