That’s right, you heard it. At this year’s All-Star game, the NBA is going to allow skin-tight uniforms! Many players are starting to like it more and are ignoring the old Adidas ones that you wear every game.
Most NBA players these days wear a compression tank top under their jersey. So why not just skip the jersey and wear the compression undergarment function as the uniform top?
That’s an idea that the NBA has decided to test-drive in the upcoming all-star game. The league will announce today that all players in that game will have the option of wearing skin-tight compression tanks instead of the standard Adidas jerseys.
It isn’t yet clear how many people will take the league up on this offer.
I really may not dig this. Although this will no doubt bring more exposure to the league (yes, ladies, I am pointing at you for making it possible), there may be some faults. I mean, wouldn’t it kind of be ruined when you see a guy like Shaq wear it?
I mean seriously, you actually wanna see this guy in a skin-tight uniform? Or how about Glen Big Baby Davis? Like a person leaving a comment said on BlackSportsOnline, I’d rather listen to the Celtics’ game on the radio.
But that basically may be the problem. But still, that Derrick Rose picture is just awkward. And seeing that in every NBA game will be in fact very awkward.
So what do you guys think of the uniforms?
To me, uhm…not such a good idea in my opinion.
