Eastern Conference First Round Game 1 NBA Playoff Times Announced

Paul Pierce, Celtics Will Host Knicks In Garden Sunday Night

The finest stretch of hoops starts this Saturday, April 16, with four Playoff battles; beginning with Derrick Rose’s Bulls and Pacers at 1 p.m. ET.

The East’s top-seeded Chicago will welcome eight seed Indiana for the first tip, Saturday afternoon on ESPN.

Following Chicago and Indiana, will be #2 seed Miami Heat hosting #7 seed Philadelphia 76ers, scheduled for 3:30 on ABC.

Two other contests will go down on ESPN Saturday, with #5 seed Atlanta Hawks traveling to face #4 seed Orlando Magic at 7.  A Western Conference playoff game to be determined (Portland-Dallas?) at 9:30 will follow Atlanta and Orlando.

On Sunday, #6 seed New York Knicks will visit #3 seed Boston Celtics at 7.  That game will be broadcast on TNT.

    The Knicks really don’t have a chance against C’s. The Celtics being able to stay home for a week will give them the edge, not to mention their talent, coaching, experience, and defensive advantage.
