Celtics Game 3 Halftime Tidbits

Not Only Can Pierce Give You Buckets; But He Can Defend, Too

  • Ray Allen is easily the most under-appreciated player in the Association. You can expect him to do his thing from downtown, night in and night out.  Such a joy to watch the way he impressively shoots the pumpkin under pressure, on the move, from baseline to baseline.  Time and time again you can count on him!
  • Rajon Rondo looks like a flat-out magician with the rock. He’s playing so well, giving the team second-chance opportunities, setting up everyone with high-percentage open looks. Hustling all over the place, running the break smoothly with such ease. Cool Operator.
  • Jermaine O’Neal may not be the elite player he once was when he was going with the “corn rows” but it’s good to see him do some things and make a contribution.  The center position no longer looks like a concern anymore.  It helps when you have K.G. and Rondo crashing the glass, too.
  • Jeff Green looks lost and out of sync.  He just needs to be more aggressive and let things flow.  It has to come effortless/natural and he has to do a better job of being more loose.  Green looks scared and very nervous.  Let your talent do the talking and your athleticism and game will take over.  You have to let go.  Your skills should speak alone.   I would like to see him attack and not worry.
  • Paul Pierce is still giving you solid defense to go along with his offensive output, which is always consistent and efficient from the field.  His feel for the game is unreal.  He never really forces the action, yet he’s always under control making smart choices.  Just a pure scorer in every sense of the definition.
