Sources: Cavs To Select Irving Number One

The Duke Point Guard Is Drawing Comparisons To Chris Paul

Following a dive into the plans of the Timberwolves and Jazz to see if Kyrie Irving could miraculously drop to No. 4 in Thursday’s NBA Draft, the Cavaliers have now decided to choose Irving as the No. 1 pick, according to league sources through ESPN’s Ric Bucher.

With Derrick Williams likely heading to Minnesota at No. 2, the club is attempting to deal the fourth pick.

Cleveland has Kentucky point guard Brandon Knight in for a visit Monday.

Also, center Enes Kanter of Turkey, will return Monday for a second appearance with the team.

It’s certain, that either Knight (trade bait) or Kanter, will be there at pick four for the Cavs.
