“Captain Jack” Heading To Milwaukee
According to sources, the Milwaukee Bucks have acquired swingman Stephen Jackson from the Bobcats for their first round pick (No. 10), while Sacramento receives John Salmons, switching the pick they received in the trade through Milwaukee with Charlotte.
Milwaukee also receives guards Shaun Livingston and Beno Udrih, along with the Bobcats’ 19th pick, while Charlotte picks up Corey Maggette from the Bucks, in addition to taking the seventh pick from Sacramento.
Corrected deal: Bucks get Beno, Stephen Jackson, Shaun Livingston & 19. Bobcats get pick 7 & Maggette. Kings get 10 & John Salmons.
Charlotte Bobcats receive: 7th overall pick, Corey Maggette
Milwaukee Bucks receive: Stephen Jackson, Shaun Livingston, Beno Udrih, 19th overall pick. Bucks Gab: Does this mean they can still get “their” guy at No. 19?
Sacramento Kings receive: John Salmons, 10th overall pick. Kings Gab: Who do sources say Sacramento is leaning heavily toward at No. 10?
In review: So, Charlotte now goes from having the No. 9 and 19 picks, to holding the seventh and ninth choices in tonight’s NBA Draft. They switch Jackson with Maggette, too. As for Milwaukee, they drop nine spots in the first round (10 to 19), to acquire “Captain Jack” and Shaun Livingston. Lastly, Sacramento moves down three spots in the first (7 to 10), and picks up John Salmons. Let the swap meet begin!
