NBA commissioner Stern: “season, or not a season, at risk this weekend”

Entering its 90th day of the lockout, NBA commissioner David Stern is intent on getting a deal done.

Stern said: “I’m focused on let’s get the two committees in and see whether they can either have a season or not have a season, and that’s what’s at risk this weekend.”

At a minimum, sources said, cancellation of regular season games next week is a certainty if a deal isn’t within sight by Monday.

I have a hunch we will be talking about rookies, camps, preseason, free agents, trades, amnesty players, and Nov. 1 games on Monday.
