NEW YORK — All points have been agreed to in the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement and it is awaiting ratification, a person with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press.
Though players started voting on the deal Wednesday, some issues weren’t completed until late Thursday morning. The person spoke to The AP on condition of anonymity because no announcement was being made.
Players will continue voting electronically until later Thursday afternoon and owners will vote at a meeting in New York.
If the deal is ratified by a majority on both sides, free agency and training camps will open Friday.
