Warriors PG Stephen Curry Sprains Surgically Repaired Right Ankle

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry sprained his right ankle and had to be helped off the court during the team’s 95-91 preseason loss in Sacramento on Tuesday night.

Last season, Curry severely sprained his right ankle three times. This offseason, after surgically repairing the ankle with a noted specialist, the Warriors believed any instability in the ankle had been repaired.

Curry was injured while guarding rookie Jimmer Fredette just before halftime.

The sharpshooting Davidson alum didn’t play in the second half and finished with seven points and five assists in 15 minutes.
