On March 16th Jordan will be releasing the Air Jordan XIII. From the 1997-1998 season the shoe was inspired by one of MJ’s nicknames “The Black Cat.” Tinker Hatfield put a hologram on the back of the sneaker that was to resemble the eye of the panther and the outsole had a paw-like design. This colorway was seen in the film, “He Got Game” so this retro release is being dubbed the “He Got Game” sneaker.
The Air Jordan XIII was originally released in five mid colorways and two low colors. Jordan wore the AJ XIII throughout the 1997-1998 season and into the playoffs until he introduced the AJ XIV in the 1998 NBA Finals against the Jazz. Michael wore the white-based colorways of the XIII at home and the black-based versions on the road throughout the season.
