Guy Makes Half-Court Shot And Thinks He Won $50K

24-year-old University of Missouri-St. Louis student Alex Permann was selected to shoot for $50K on Sunday before the Missouri Valley Conference championship game.

In order to win the $50K, he had to make a layup, a free throw, a three-pointer, and a half-court shot – All in just 24 seconds.

As you can see from the video above, he hits the layup and free throw, and then sprints to midcourt where he sinks the half-court shot. He erupted in celebration and the crowd went wild.

The only problem? He forgot about that pesky three-point shot! Realizing his mistake, he hurriedly made a few three-point attempts, none of which found the mark. 🙁

As a consolation prize, he received four tickets for life to the MVC tournament, along with hotel passes for next year’s event.

Crazy story, but Permann seems to be taking the disappointment in stride.
