Harlem Globetrotter Sets New Guinness World Record With Highest Upwards Shot

In the same week that the Harlem Globetrotters introduced the 4-point shot to Klay Thompson at Warriors practice, the world famous team took their skills to even higher heights by setting a new Guinness World Record title.

For the 13th annual “Guinness World Records Day,” Thunder Law made the highest upwards basketball shot, connecting from 50 feet, 1 inch outside of the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City.

To make the shot possible, a basketball hoop was hung from a crane high in the air, as Thunder stood beneath it. You can watch this amazing record-breaking shot here:

Pretty incredible, right? Dude Perfect’s got nothing on The Globetrotters! 🙂

The Globetrotters will tip off their 2018 “Amazing Feats of Basketball” World Tour on November 24th at Madison Square Garden and will play in over 250 North American markets, as well as 30 countries worldwide. Tickets are now available at harlemglobetrotters.com.
