NBA Tells Knicks Player Iman Shumpert To Cut Logo From His Hair

Back in the day the NBA banned the Air Jordan I because it didn’t follow the color pattern that was allowed on the court. These days it is hard to find a shoe that is not just white or black. Players are rocking shoes that are bright yellow, orange, and every color in the rainbow. The NBA is cool with that, but it seems that shaving a sneaker company’s logo on your head is going too far.

The NBA cracked down on New York Knicks forward, Iman Shumpert for having an Adidas logo in the back of his head. Shumpert, who endorses Adidas, recently shaved the company’s logo into the back of his head.

The league reached out to Shumpert saying that he needs to remove the logo. League officials cited a rule for their code of conduct saying that:

“The only article bearing a commercial ‘logo’ which can be worn by players is their shoes.”

Sadly Shumpert shaved the Adidas logo so it looks like he just loves triangles. He posted a photo on Instrgram and then went on twitter saying, “#banned,” Shumpert wrote. “sry @nba didn’t realize there were branding issues wit da logo #iPUToN.”

Now even though he shaved it off and the Adidas logo is not there, the NBA still kind of loses. This story is now in the media and people are going to having a field day talking about this. So it goes from just Knicks fans hearing about this story to everyone who follow the NBA about Shumpert, the NBA, and Adidas. Any press is good press especially in this case with Iman and Adidas.
