Yesterday, Reebok Classic threw a blowout bash at the legendary S.O.B.’s in New York City to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the iconic Classic Leather sneaker.
Presented by noted graffiti artist, Stash, the event showcased the many different iterations of the Classic Leather sneaker since its inception in 1983. It also showcased the newest iteration of the Classic Leather, the City Classics collection, where Stash curated a talented collective of 12 of the world’s upcoming graffiti writers representing various cities around the world to utilize the sneaker silhouette as a blank canvas for their artwork.
The Reebok Classic Classic Leather 30th Anniversary featured live performances by some of the best rappers in the business today. The performances kicked off with the inimitable Doug E. Fresh and his sons Trips N’ Slim, followed by performances by Freeway, Vinny Cha$e, Kirko Bangz, Travi$ Scott and Ace Hood. Additional guests partying throughout the night and showing support for Reebok included Brandy, Angela Yee, Jim Jones, Vado, Sophie Green, Renee Graziano (Mob Wives), and DJ Envy.
The new City Classics collection will drop at retail in July at retailers including Foot Locker, Finish Line, Footaction and Reebok.com for the styles designed by Stash, and Karmaloop, Finish Line and Reebok.com for the styles designed by the various graffiti artists.
