The Associated Press reported Sunday that Golden State Warriors coach Don Nelson said in order for a team to make it  to the playoffs in the Western Conference this upcoming Spring a team would need to get more than just 42 wins. Nelson was able to get the Warriors last season into the postseason with just 42 wins, and they upset the Dallas Mavericks in a first round matchup.

Nelson told reporters that at this juncture of this season he believes it would take a minimum of 44-45 wins to get the eighth seed slot that the Warriors grabbed last campaign. The Portland Trail Blazers who right now occupies the eighth seed slot, is on pace to win at least 47 games this season.
