Jermaine O’Neal Possibly Going To Knicks for Randolph

The “New York Daily News” reported Friday that Indiana Pacers’ big man Jermaine O’Neal told reporters that the Pacers have been in?contact with many teams about possibly trading their veteran big man before the NBA?trade deadline?February 21. O’Neal told reporters after Indiana defeated New York Wednesday night, that he would welcome a trade to the Knicks.?It is well known that Jermaine is a huge Isiah Thomas fan. There has long been speculation that O’Neal holds deep resentment towards the Pacers franchise for Bird terminating the contract of former coach Isiah Thomas, shortly after O’Neal inked a new pact with the team. O’Neal has always had great admiration and respect for Zeke, and credits him for turning the young O’Neal’s career around.?

One of the names of possible players that O’Neal could be traded for is Zach Randolph. Apparently the forward who came to the Knicks in a trade on the night of last year’s NBA Draft has already worn out his welcome in the Big Apple. There were reports that Thomas was trying to shop Thomas over a month ago.
