Posted by Jeff Sack under NBA Game Recap

In the words of my virtual baby sister, and one of the finest writers of any genre to grace the Internet; Carolyn from And One ”Somewhere Thomas Wolfe is smiling” (Warning: if you hear any screaming in the Greater Cleveland Area within 24 hours of publishing this game recap, it will most likely be emanating from Carolyn! Being her much older brother, she thinks senility has set in and I don’t remember anything she says.) Phoenix Suns veteran center Shaquille O’Neal learned Tuesday night that “You Can’t Go Home Again” as the Suns lost in Orlando to the Magic 111-99. The “Diesel” who spent the first four years of his NBA career as a member of the Magic had a strong game as he recorded a double-double. The Magic closed the gap in the second as Rafer Alston hit a pair at the line and the game was knotted up 56-56 at the half. The two clubs let the lead volley back and forth in the third, however Jason Richardson slammed the ball through the cylinder to give Phoenix an 81-78 lead as the period drew to a close. With 6:28 left to play Rashard Lewis drained a trey to to put Orlando on top 111-99. Phoenix never was able to recover.
