A Holiday Present For Our Readers: Michael Scores 63 At The Garden!
Posted by Jeff Sack under NBA TV, NBA Video, SDC Appreciation
In the eyes of this veteran NBA observer the 1985-1986 Boston Celtics were the BEST Team of all time. With the “Big Three” of Bird Parish and McHale augmented by a man who should have been put into the Basketball Hall Of Fame years ago the Late Great Dennis Johnson and Danny Ainge at the other guard spot their starting five was one of the best of its era. Now add Bill Walton as the sixth man in his Final Great Season in the NBA along with players like reserves Scott Wedman and Jerry Sichting and you had a team that lost just one game in the regular season on their home court.
That team would face a young man who would later become arguably the Best of All Time in the NBA Michael Jordan. Although MJ had an incredible game it still was not enough to derail Boston. Enjoy and have a Great Holiday Weekend!
